Excursions and tourist attractions

Unforgettable experiences

Have a coffee at almost 3,500 metres above sea level. Ski from September to April. Dive headfirst into a mountain lake. Get close to nature. Discover living traditions. You can experience all that and much more here in the Pitztal. The charming old town of Innsbruck, the Swarovski Crystal Worlds or the AREA 47 are also close by. Discover many exciting destinations and attractions in and around the Pitztal.

Our favourite places for a trip:

  • Our village Jerzens has a lot to offer with its Stone Pine Museum, the XP adventure park and the Hochzeiger adventure mountain.
  • The futuristic Wildspitzbahn takes you on top of Tyrol. With views of the glacier world, you can enjoy a breath-taking panorama and real exaltation in Tyrol's highest-altitude café, the “3,440”.
  • The Kaunergrat Nature Park is a protection area for endangered animal and plant species. The nature park rangers offer great tours and hikes all year.
  • PitzPark is a 1,000 sqm adventure world for the entire family. Highlights: the natural bathing pond and the water playing stations.
  • The oldest farmhouse in Tyrol, the Stamserhaus in Wenns, regularly hosts art and cultural events. In the pre-Christmas season you can marvel at over 40 cribs.
  • Water lovers should visit the AREA 47, the Aquadome or the new swimming pool in Telfs.
  • The Alpine Coaster and the romantic Rosengarten Gorge in Imst
  • A exciting experience is a trip to Starkenberg Castle. There you will enjoy a medieval atmosphere on the trails of the myth of beer. Guided tours and tastings are also offered.
  • The small town of Wattens is the home of the Swarovski crystal company. The Crystal Worlds rank among Austria's most popular attractions.
  • Innsbruck is considered the capital of the Alps. Visit the world-famous Golden Roof, the Bergiselschanze, the Alpine Zoo, the Nordkette or one of the many department stores.
